Sound Vibration Testing Procedures using tuning forks:

  1. To start the participant sits in a comfortable position; select a number in the chart below (1-9). You will be prompted to open the sound in iTunes, once you click on Open, close your eyes - it may take a few seconds before you hear the sound.
  2. When hearing the sound, the you may see flashes or tinges of color, flashes of white light, shadows,  shapes, or nothing at all.
  3. After hearing the sound end, you should open your eyes and indicate on a test sheet, (see sample below), if you have:
    1. Seen a specific color, by entering the coordinates of the color, (ex: B5), on the test sheet in the appropriate block (1-9).
    2. If the color changes, they should enter the coordinates from the color you first saw to the last color you saw, adding any variation coordinates along the way if the changes did NOT go in a straight line.(ex: B2-C5-D4)
    3. Other appropriate responses would be as follow: FL = flashing light or white light; S=shadows; SN=saw nothing; or you may write whatever you saw, such as (Shapes, Pulsing light, etc.)
Step 3 is repeated until all 9 of the tuning forks have been heard and recorded. Make sure your volume is set at its highest.
